Από το κομμάτι ‘Kurt Cobain’s Cardigan’ μπορείς να καταλάβεις τι εστί The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Επιτηδευμένη αφέλεια, ψευτοειρωνική διάθεση, απλές αγοροκοριτσομελωδίες σε σύγκρουση με παραμορφωμένες κιθάρες και noise attitude. My Bloody Valentine, Field Mice και The Pastels κρύβονται στη γωνία. Ως σωστοί indie poppers, οι The Pains of Being Pure at Heart λατρεύουν τη Σουηδία και πολύ θα ήθελαν να πηγαινοέρχονται συχνότερα αλλά νιώθουν άνετα στη βάση τους τη Νέα Υόρκη και ειδικά στο Cake Shop όπου ξημεροβραδιάζονται. Μόλις κυκλοφόρησαν ένα split 7" παρέα με τους υπέροχους Αυστραλούς Summer Cats, το περυσινό τους ομώνυμο EP αποθεώθηκε ενώ ολοκληρώνουν το mixing στον δίσκο τους (θα βγει αρχές του 2009 από την Slumberland, γνωστή από τις εξαιρετικές κυκλοφορίες σε Velocity Girl, Boyracer, Aislers Set κλπ). Από τα καλύτερα σύγχρονα indie pop groups.. το ‘This Love is Fuckin’ Right’ είναι το ‘Sensitive’ του 2008!!!
