Best party ever (describe with details).
Well it wasnt the biggest or craziest party ever, but I saw Todd Terje spin at this oooooold club in San Francisco. He played all vinyl. All classic disco and italo. The club had the biggest discoball in the city and the bartender/owner would pour an obligatory warm up shot down your throat when you ordered your first drink. People were twirling and dancing with their eyes closed...it felt like a real disco. No one cared how anyone looked. There were no party photographers or videos....it was all about the music.

Ingredients for a great party.
Free alcohol + good music + people that don't care about 'being seen'.

Best guest (celebrity or not) ever at an IHEARTCOMIX party.
Well the last 'check yo ponytail' after Coachella was pretty amazing with Erol Alkan, but also the first time that the Institubes crew came for a 'check yo' party was pretty crazy and memorable too. There's always random hollywood celebs coming to events as they venture out of the hollywood scene and into the 'hipster' world.

What was the first thing that came to your mind when the show in Greece was arranged?
I've loved greece ever since the first time I visited in 2002. My favorite part is the food, so im very excited to come back and eat some more lamb and lay on the beaches. The islands are really one of the most beautiful places that I've ever been to. And I'm also excited to play the festival because I'll be more free to play a bit more progressive stuff than I usually do.

What was your goal when you started the collaboration with iheartcomix blog and their parties? And how do you feel now that the blog has become worldwide famous?
Well I began writing for bigstereo (this.bigstereo.net) one year ago. I began with no big intentions really other than to help out rchrd and travis by posting music that I had discovered and bringing new music to people. It was one of the first tiers of blogs, along with fluokids, so its pretty widely known in the blog world, which is great because those guys have the ability to expose a large number of people to new and upcoming music.

Fluokids & iheartcomix are already 3 years old. LastNightParty gave the idea for the new N.E.R.D. video "Everybody Nose". How do you see this evolving in the future? Will the mainstream come in and take over as with everything else?
Of course. That's how things always work. Ideas begin in the 'underground' and once the mainstream gets a whiff of whats going on, they start to infiltrate and incorporate those ideas into their world. It's not always a bad thing. I dont think that Kanye West ruined Daft Punk forever, but there are some people who tend to stop liking something when it gets 'too cool' or 'too wellknown'. But the people who are 'ahead of the trends' will always stay ahead of the trends. So the mainstream will never infiltrate that....they won't be able to keep up.

What is your relation with record labels? Do the majors send you promos or only the indies? Do labels ask your opinion on forthcoming releases?
Record labels and promotional companies finally caught on that blogs are easy/free promo for their artists so I get sent promos from big and small labels. They want as much exposure as possible, but that leads to some monotony on blogs because there's a million other blogs that get sent the same email. So then I try to be a bit more selective about what I pick to post.

Do you ever get bored at your parties today?
I usually dont get bored at my own parties because I'm playing music that I like and I'm with all my friends!
